Buachaille Etive Mòr Couples Photoshoot – 25th Anniversary in Glencoe

Buachaille Etive Mòr couples photoshoot in Glencoe

This Buachaille Etive Mòr couples photoshoot was part of a 25th anniversary trip to Scotland for Andrea and Sean, who travelled from the US to celebrate the occasion.

They wanted something relaxed and natural, but still meaningful. Not just photos in a beautiful place, but something that reflected their relationship and this milestone.

We planned the session across a few nearby locations in Glencoe, keeping everything close so we could focus on the experience rather than spending time driving.

Couple walking near River Etive in Glen Etive

We began just off Glen Etive, at one of my favourite quieter spots not far from the main road.

This location sits slightly above the River Etive, with the road and mountains stretching into the distance behind. It’s one of those places that feels open and cinematic without needing to travel deep into the glen.

Andrea and Sean started in their more casual outfits, which worked perfectly here. We kept things simple, walking, chatting, and easing into the session without any pressure.

From there, we moved to Buachaille Etive Mòr, one of the most iconic locations in Glencoe and the perfect setting for a couples photoshoot.

The conditions couldn’t have been better. Soft light, warm clouds building towards sunset, and just enough movement in the air to bring everything to life.

This part of the Buachaille Etive Mòr couples photoshoot had a great mix of energy and quieter moments. There were piggyback rides, running, and a lot of laughter, balanced with more intimate frames near the water and across the open landscape.

I also took the drone up for a few shots, capturing them from above as small figures within the landscape. Those wider perspectives always add something special at a location like this.

For the third part of the session, we stopped at Altnafeadh, near the well known white house.

Andrea changed into her second outfit here, a white dress paired with Sean’s suit, which shifted the feel of the session slightly without making it feel formal or staged.

The light was getting softer and warmer at this point, adding a really nice atmosphere to the landscape. We kept things relaxed, moving between playful moments and quieter ones.

They also brought a small “we still do” banner, which was a simple but meaningful detail that tied everything back to their anniversary.

We finished the session at Glencoe Viewpoint, just as the sky started to turn soft orange.

This last part felt calm and unhurried. After moving between locations, everything slowed down naturally. We captured a mix of walking, spinning, and a few still moments with the valley stretching out behind them.

I took the drone up again here, which worked perfectly with the evening light and wide open views.

A Buachaille Etive Mòr couples photoshoot like this is not just about the location, even though Glencoe speaks for itself.

It’s about creating something that feels real to you. The mix of movement, quiet moments, changing light, and different locations all come together to tell a story that goes beyond a typical photoshoot.

Starting in casual outfits and finishing in something more refined also added a natural progression to the session without it ever feeling forced.

For couples visiting Scotland, this kind of experience often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the trip.

If you are staying in or visiting Glencoe, planning a Buachaille Etive Mòr couples photoshoot is a simple way to capture both your time together and the landscape around you.

Locations like Glen Etive, Buachaille Etive Mòr, Altnafeadh and the nearby viewpoints are all within a short drive, which means we can create a lot of variety without rushing.

The weather is always part of the experience here. On this day we had soft light and warm clouds, but every session looks slightly different depending on the conditions, and that is what makes each one unique.
