Nigerian wedding photography Crowne Plaza Marlow
What an absolutely amazing wedding it was. I had the pleasure of photographing Mayo and Niyi’s Nigerian wedding at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived at the venue, I knew it was going to be a day packed with emotions, vibrancy and endless photo opportunities.
As I recalled, I met Mayo and Niyi a few months back on their engagement shoot in Glasgow, and I could tell from the very beginning that their love for each other was so pure and genuine. Despite the rainy weather that day, we managed to create some really beautiful engagement photos that still remain some of my favourites.
Fast forward to their wedding day, and I found myself driving seven hours one way to capture their special day. It was a challenging journey, but I knew it was going to be worth it, especially since Nigerian traditions are known for their richness and colourfulness.
As a photographer, I always feel honoured to be a part of any wedding, but there was something truly special about this Nigerian wedding. The colours, traditions, and sheer joy of the day were infectious. I was constantly looking for ways to capture the beautiful moments as they unfolded throughout the day.
I arrived at the Crowne Plaza early to capture the beautiful decor of the reception hall. the food was simply incredible!
The ceremony itself was nothing short of amazing. The air was filled with the sound of prayers, songs, and cheers as Mayo and Niyi said their vows. The joy and love that radiated from the couple were palpable, and I was lucky enough to capture it through my lens. The reception was a riot of colours, music, dance and laughter. People of all ages hit the dance floor, and it was wonderful to capture the uninhibited joy of everyone present.
As a photographer, moments like these are what I live for. Capturing special occasions, unforgettable emotions, and precious moments that will be cherished by the couple and their families forever. This Nigerian wedding at the Crowne Plaza Marlow was one such occasion, and it’s one that I’ll never forget.
